Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDeETTA ELIZABETH McLEOD October 8, 1917 - May 18, 2004 DeEtta McLeod, aged 86 years, passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital, Winnipeg. She will be lovingly remembered by her niece Betty and nephew Bob. DeEtta was the only daughter of Hardy and Gertrude McLeod. She was born in Winnipeg and graduated from Kelvin High School and United College. She served as a civilian during the Second World War at the British War Office in Washington, D.C. She returned to Winnipeg where she enjoyed a career as an administrative officer at the CBC. Prior to, but especially after retirement, DeEtta travelled widely and pursued many cultural activities. She had many good friends. In her later years DeEtta was afflicted with Alzheimers disease. During this time she resided at the Vista Park Lodge where she received great care. We will miss our Aunt DeEtta and always think of her kind ways and gentle humour. A memorial reception will be held on Tuesday, May 25 at 1:00 p.m. at Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Ph: 925-1120.
